ATI Desktop Control Panel error?????

How do i get rid of this thing. Out of nowhere Im getting this box when i start up my computer

 

Couple of things to try:
1) You could right click on the desktop on an empty space, click properties, click the settings tab then click advanced, click options tab and uncheck enable ATI taskbar app.

2) Alternatively, you can uninstall your ATI drivers thru add/remove programs and install the latest from www.ati.com.

 

If you don't use the ATI Control Center (suite) control panel, I would recommend uninstalling everything ATI except for the display driver. I've tried to use ATIs control center many times and every time concluded that the liability and overhead far outweigh the usefulness.

There are no less than 3 executables that start up with it that you can kill, but I recall that one of them can be hard to track down.

 

i think the file is atiptaxx.exe? A program like Startup Control Panel by Mike Lin can help find hard to track autostarting programs
