I have always been an nvidia fan but my 5900 ultra went out and i got refunded full amout from 8 months ago. So I was looking and decided to go with the X800 pro which i had to put like 30 dollers with my refund to get.
I have nvidia drivers and wanted to know what all i had to do when installing the ati drivers is there anything special that i need to know about? And i have heard of people talking about omega drivers and catalyst what do i need to get? Thanks for any help.

Download the stuff you need, get rid of the old drivers, delete the nVidia card from the Device Manager, shutdown, install the x800, reboot, cancel the Windows popups (two) that find new hardware (primary and secondary video) and run the Catalyst installer.

has some of what you need - use the Detonator destroyer to get rid of the nVidia driver. Be sure all traces are gone of the video card.
