ATI Drivers

Ok first things first new to the forums and want to say hi!!

Here it is i have game/owned nvidia cards since first started out.
Now i thought i would try out a ati card here is the thing.
I boot up with 100 megs page file before install of drivers, after i install i'm at 310 megs page file them some pretty big drivers!!
Now i have two gig's of ddr2 667 so its ok but do you ati guys see that big of hog on those drivers?
Not trying to bash ati fans just saying man thats alot. And had to install .net and i really did not want to do that. so now i'm running omega drivers right now there ok and don't need .net to run them.

So just wanted to see what you guys thought, i mean when i ran nvidia drivers never had a problem and only use about 35 megs of page file.
Just seems alot of trouble for a video card.
