ATI radeon Sapphire 9600pro 256mb HELP!

    I have got a ATI radeon Sapphire 9600pro now i have installed all the drivers it works great on my system, but when i shut down my P.C i cant get it to boot up again untill i put back the old graphics card(nvidia TNT2 32mb)..... To get the ATI card working again i have to switch the cards while the pc is still on...i need HELP! The only way i can get the Ati Radeon 9600pro To stay working is to never shut my pc down or by changing the Nvidia with the Ati once it has booted up,

    I think you might find this is a driver issue. Nvidia drivers can be a little difficult to remove completely, which of course you did before installing the ATI card right?:)

    I'll have a look around for you, I'm sure there's a tool somewhere to do that.

    First DON'T EVER HOT SWAP YOUR GRAPHICS CARD if that is what your doing,changing them while your comp is turned on.

    with your tnt in remove the ati driver in add remove programs go to Guru3d.com and download detonator destroyer or detonator R.I.P from the download section follow the instructions in the the readme before removing the nvidia drivers,then reinstall your ati card and the latest catalyst drivers,

    I cant believe you aint fried anything already! :confused:
