I have serched your forms to a solution for the altevents.altevents problem an have had no luckin the quest for answers. the pcvb.exe in the program manager is eating all the memory and the virual mem is running so low that all programs are effected. the computer is running so slow that it is almost useless. i have attached the log files that will hopfully help.

can you please help me?

What symptoms are you having??
What OS are you running?
Are you getting Popups for Stopguard or WinFirewall?

It is generally a good idea to start with the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

This will remove a lot of crap that would otherwise show up on a HijackThis log. Please complete the above steps and note any problems you have. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and to do the Online Scans. Then, post back with the results. Also, please send us a HijackThis Log with your post.

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.98.2) and extracted to its own safe folder - C:\Program Files\HijackThis

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt file and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.
