attachments

    can't open email attachments in outlook 2007. this just started, I have been using outlook 2007 for over a year and never had this problem before. the message is: the operation failed. object cannot be found. any help would sure be appreciated.

    Hi


    Which Windows version are you using?

    Is this a corporate networked PC or your own home PC? Just wanting to get to if we are dealing with Exchange Server here or not.

    What Antivirus application do you have installed?

    Have you installed any new software jsut before this happened? if so what?



    One thing to try off hand is to open Outlook and click Tools > Trust Centre > Add-ins > and at the bottom next to Manage it says in a drop down box COM add-ins, leave that as the option and click GO, then untick anything that is not Microsoft based and click OK then close and re-open Outlook and see if you can open your attachments (the possible cause is an AntiVirus applications Office plugin)
