ATTN!!! Bioshock demands your attention

At last, this is what I've been waiting for. A new game from a very talented developer with a great history of quality. And look at the screenshots! I really can't tell what it actually IS, but the game has deviated a lot since it's original conception and the earlier screenshots from 2004. I think this is going to be a shocker

Looks good I'v just watched the developer reviews on gamespot,the idea behind the game is to have a FPS rpg similar to system shock 2 "which I loved" but with less stats,as much as possible will be modifiable weapons,enviroment,character ect but will be more stealth in the interaction for better immersion,sounds great to me counting numbers and planning yournext step can be fun,but not knowing exactly what effect your mod will do is great fun

 

What do you think the requirements will be for a game of this...um...quality?

well isnt bioshock quality like FEAR, HL2 etc? if not then ma bad, my budget gaming pc would do

looks like it'll be closed eviroment game corridors ect no open landscapes,anyone got any gameplay footage

 

No Rik I wish I did have. I've been following it over the years, and the game seems to have gone back to the drawing board about 2-3 times over this time. It looks to me like there is a lot of different games the developers have drawn influence from. System Shock definitely with the open ended style and character development/modification gait. I also see some HL2 and some Xcom : Terror from the Deep in there (check the mad underwater looking dude). The first screenshots I saw years ago looked like a different game, they looked like System Shock 3. I think the designers chose to go down a different path since then though, and create something very original. You just don't get that much these days do you? Kudos to em. Imagine trying to explain to the younger gen of PC gamers that before Alone in the Dark, there was nothing like Alone in the Dark. Before Doom, there was nothing like Doom etc....
