Audio card needed

    My daughters computer dose not have a audio or video card. Can I just down load these or do I need to purchase the items?

    Hi

    Is your daughters PC a pre-build one like from Dell, HP etc if so what model version is it, this info should be on case or in manual.


    If not a perbuild but a custom/home build then install this http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html and tell us the Motherboard Name/Model and Audio Adapter, they are listed under Computer > Summary.

    Hopefully if you have either onboard sounds on the motherboard or an addon card we should be able to help you, if you dont have at least onboard sound then its likely you will have to purchase a add-on sound card, but these days many motherboards come with onboard sound.
