Audio driver medion pc

I have a medion PC that I have XP professional on I have done a reinstall and I have a similar problem to many people on here, the audio will not work, It says on the everest report that it is SIS 7012 audio device, I have downloaded it and tried to install still wont work, I have tried Reatek and have the same problem. The device manager has the question mark on "Multi media Audio controller and Multimedia controller.I have tried updating the driver in device manager and tried the setup from the downland location, I am not sure if I am doing the setup correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Have you looked at this thread? It's about your exact system, and your exact problem. Let us know if the info in that thread works or not... if not, we'll try a different route.

I think I have sort of fixed the problem, I had a USB phone connected to a hub it had Skype on it it. I was looking on some of the forums and they said to check the default audio, the usb phone was being detected as the default, I disconnected it and ran Realtek and it loaded ok, I now have sound. I have a small medion 5.1 surround sound sysytem everything is ok except for the two rear speakers dont work. I can live with that at the moment after all the nights I have spent trying different fixes and drivers. In the device manager I still have a question mark over "other devices" and "multi media contorller " .Thanks for the help and reply.
