audio driver will not install

we're workin' with a compaq presario, sr2050nx. OS is windows xp.

audio driver won't download. i don't have an volume icon at all.

i've tried to install the sp26792 audio driver for an HP but i get a notification that my system needs to have the Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio bus driver installed before the Realtek.
haven't been able to locate anything useful via the internet thus far.

also, i recently cleared my hard drive and was given these drivers from someone with the same computer make. everything other driver has worked out fine.

 

In my system running XP SP3, this driver "hdaudbus.sys" is located in C:\Windows\system32\drivers. Browse to this location during the update wizard.
