audio driver

Hello. I really need some help.
I formated my pc a week ago and i lost my cds when i moved out and i can`t find drivers and my computer has no sound.
I searched all over the internet drivers for - 'Intel 82801DB ICH4 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-1]' and i couldn`t find the right version anywhere.
I need help, please, and i hope the report text helps.

 

That driver (Realtek) should come with Windows, I believe. Have you tried uninstalling whatever drivers are installed for your Audio (if any - see under Device Manager - sound, video and game controllers), and rebooting, to let Windows install the drivers for you?

 

Can you give us the make and model of your machine and any service tags, this will help in finding the right driver or solution to your sound issue.

I`m sorry, i don`t think i have drivers installed. i tried what you said, and that`s what it shows me

OK, it's that yellow question mark/exclamation mark that's causing the trouble.
You said that you formatted your PC, but you don't have the disks. Do you mean that you reformatted your hard drive, and that you don't have your Windows installation CD's (if so, how did you install Windows), or is it your mother board CD that you don't have?
