Just received a copy of a play I was in. Unfortunately, it was taped using the camera's built-in mic. Yeah, lots of echos and extraneous noise. Does anyone know whether it's possible to remove the echos and thereby make the audio a little more listenable? As a retired Broadcast tech, I'm fully aware of the magnitude of the problem here, but I know that if ANYONE has the answer, it'll be found at MG! Thanks, guys, for any help.

I cannot think of a cheap way.. Cool Edit used to be the program.. now Adobe bought them and it is Adobe Audition...http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/main.html
but the program is top notch (at least Cool Edit was) for filtering, ect.

Thanks for the tip, Foogoo. I had previewed CoolEdit a couple years ago - - you're right, it's quite expensive. I'm sure it's no less under the auspices of Adobe. As I recall, though, it was a real pro's tool. Thanks, again.
