    what can i use to edit audio tracks....like removing parts of a song...or adding new parts to a song....

    Try these. Both freeware.

    1/ For wav files. Wav Splitter. Cuts only.

    2/ For mp3. mp3DirectCut. Not sure about this one.

    Take a look at the Sonic Foundry programs (now part of Sony). The SoundForge, Acid, and Vegas programs can edit virtually all audio files. Acid XPress 3.0 is a free music looping program and you can download demos of the other ones.
