Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3
    Realtek HD Audio

Just reformatted, everything works except my audio hardware. I can't install the audio drivers without first disabling the Microsoft UAA High Def Bus yadda yadda yadda, even then it still wont work.

I made the attempt to look for previous threads but none helped to much, BUT i did follow these steps only to find out i cannot install the drivers because apparently they are outdated??????
    Have you tried this?
The Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio driver for Windows may be corrupted or causing problems with the audio driver installation.(Steps are below)
To resolve this, try the following:
    1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
    2. Look for the following two items: Realtek High Definition Audio Driver and High Definition Audio driver Package - KB888111.
    3. If these items are listed in Add/Remove programs, remove them.
    4. Restart Windows.
    5. Download the latest audio driver for your PC.
    6. Double-click the filename to extract the files.
    7. Go to the folder where the files have been extracted and browse to the \HDAQFE\xpsp2\us\ folder or the \MSHDQFE\Win2K_XP\us\ folder. (The name of this folder depends on your PC model.)
    8. Double-click the file kb888111xpsp2.exe to install the High Definition Audio Driver Package.
    9. Restart Windows.
    10. Install the audio driver.

TY for anyone who attempts to help me!

    Hi

Guess sometimes you have to just be a little patient and wait until someone picks up your question, could be within minutes or could be a few days, just depends whos online and bare in mind tech forums like this are a FREE service, no-one gets paid to help you sort your issues out, driver issues can take days or longer to sort out properly depending on the issue, as they are sometimes hard to locate depending on the PC and Hardware plus Windows version used so many may not have the time to devote to a lenghty task.

SP3 has the UAA driver built in, however at times and we dont know all that a user has done to a PC when re-installing it may not pick up the audio driver correctly, sadly previous threads likely wont help as most motherboard have differeing audio drivers, the one you quote in your post above is a HP/Compaq driver and likely not to work on the Systemax Pursuit 4250 Notebook.

While everything may work, did you install the Chipset driver? please list everything in Device Manager that may have a yellow ! mark by it?

Download and install the Chipset driver for your PC HERE, then reboot, then download the Audio driver from HERE, DO NOT install the audio driver yet, but follow the below exactly
