    Hi,

I'm trying to increase my audio card output. The card I have is a SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio on A Dell Desktop. I have increased the volume settings via the control panel and have been looking into ways of increasing it via the HKEY Registry... or maybe a program that can boost the sound somehow? any ideas please :confused

    Are you using powered speakers?

Have you tried the headphones on another computer to rule out a problem with the headphones?

What model of headphones are you using? Some headphones with high impedance need to be plugged via separate amplifier or mixer to play loud.

    Hi,

The audio output of sound cards today is LINE OUT. That's 600 ohms to drive an amplifier. Will not drive earphones or non amplified speakers. You will need an external amp to drive the earphones.

    Luck, Jim
