I have my main computer hooked up to my speaker system, and then a second computer connected through a crossover cable to my main computer. I can transfer files and all that stuff, what I'm wondering is, is there a way that I can hear the audio from the second computer out of the main computers sound card by sending the audio through the network. Is there a free/cheap piece of software I can get or something of the like. Any ideas would be helpful.

If they are MP3's Waves or WMV's on the second computer then just share the folder. Launch media player on your main computer and surf to the files and play them on the big computer. I that what you are talking about?

No, like the actual line output of comp2 being played out of the sound card of comp1 without having to run another cable and take up my mic-in on comp1(line-in is used as the surround sound rear left/right output)
