Audio problem, but I think it'sanother fault entirely.

Hello everyone!

I have a feeling that I actually have 2 problems, and solving one may solve both.

Problem 1: Realtek HD audio or Intel HD audio not showing up in Device manager.
I've followed the various instructions to enable sound.
I manage to get sound after removing the HD audio bus, rebooting and getting the hardware manager to reinstall the drivers and I get sound.
No problem.

But here's the rub...

Problem 2:

After installation of the sound (ad it's all working) after rebooting, the audio hardware disappears. Am I missing something completely, or could windows override something to roll back to a state where no audio is installed.

I'll provide details of hardware (where I can) if required.
