Audio Problems..

Hello everyone, I'm in need of your help!

I have a set of external speakers that I use. And I also use headphones..

My problem, is I can't switch between the two of them. I've tried having them both connected, only having one connected, and I've also tried all the different audio settings I could think of..

Also, lets say I unplug my headphones to try and get my speakers to work.. Well, the speakers don't work so I go ahead and plug the headphones back in.. Now the headphones wont work!

I have to restart the computer in order to get one of them to work.. The one that works is the one I have plugged in.. And if I have them both plugged in on the restart, the headphones are the ones that work..

Heres the hardware I'm using:

External speakers:

The headphones are Logitech and are also connected with by a USB cord.


So my question, is how can I get these two items to work? I can't seem to figure it out.

I think a big part of the problem, is that the sound card itself doesn't have a USB port, so I have to plug the headphones right into the back of the motherboard to get them to work.. Is the solution as simple as not using a pair of headphones that can't fit into the sound card?
