Audio sync problem in DVD

I have a divx file which I'm trying to convert to DVD format, using DVD Santa. I've done it plenty of times in the past, but this particular file once converted has the audio delayed by about 6 seconds. It seems pretty consistent the whole way through. Are there any good editors out there which could fix this sort of thing? Thanks for reading.

 

Klite has a free video converter which allows you to slow or speed the audio back to where it needs to be; and then click save. I've been using DVDFLICK and having the same problems, but there's a youtube video telling you how to fix dvdflick; an audio sync checkbox which needs to be unchecked (click title and click title again, click audio, and it's right there bottom left). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7TKZZELR6I

 

after experimenting with different settings other than the defaults,i made a slight adjustment only to the setting in "project settings/video/advanced",i changed the "DC precision" default setting from 8 to 10,and reset the write speed from the default 4X to 6X ...that seemed to cure the stuttering and motion freezes especially during scenes of quick flashing movements,and updated the ffmpeg codec to a newer version and installed the latest Imgburn(2.5.5.0),that really cut the encoding time by about 30-40%,this link is for the updated ffmpeg version 0.6.1
