    Sometimes my audio simply quits. Reaplayer is running but there is no audio. I have to reboot. Is there a way to get the audio back without rebooting? The other media players do the same thing.

    when it stops working check your device manager are there any "?" especially next to the sound video and game controllers?

    I'd suspect audio drivers. Using onboard sound? My wife's HP does that now and again.

    The sound is integrated. What if I add a sound card?

    when it stops are you getting anything in device manager? a external sound car might fix the problem but it depend son what is causing the problem.
