audiodg.exe (Creative audio process) will eat up 1 GB of ram easily. I read about that there is a memory leak? I'm running Win 7 x64. The sound card is a Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme gamer

    Yes I'm running latest drivers.

    Thanks

Usually that's caused by audio enhancements, sound effects being loaded by default. Try disabling them in the properties of your soundcard.

Then my x-fi sound card is useless.
