I created a shortcut to an Outlook Calendar for users to access from their workstations. Rather than physically visiting 150+ workstations to copy the shortcut, I uploaded the shortcut to an Intranet server and created a hyperlink for users to "run from its current location."

Is there a way to open the file from the Intranet site without being prompted to "open" or "save"?

that's a security risk and no browser will allow that.

Kodosan is right, you need to prompt the use to download/run a file.

However.... if it was on a network, you could use a logon script to copy the file to their profiles/desktops/whatever when they logged on... presuming you have a domain that is (150+ PC's you probably should do)

I knew it was an inherant safety feature of the browser, but I didn't know if there was a way around it.

I do have (or am in) a domain, but I am not given the rights to run logon scripts.

    ...DAMN THE MAN!

    Thanks for you help, guys
