auto play disabled

    i have a memory card reader for my digital camera - when the memory card is inserted Windows would automatically ask what i wanted to do with the pictures - this is no longer working - how do i re-enable the "autoplay" in Widows for this? Any hep would be appreicated! Windows XP.

    go into admin. tools from the control panel, click on services. Scroll down the list to windows image aquisition (WIA), Highlight & right click> go to properties> when the properties box opens go down to startup type: in the drop down box check automatic>click apply>right below the drop down box are a series of buttons at startup status, (start) (stop) (pause) (resume)- click (start)> hit ok. close the window. You should be done.

    appreciate the assistance - tried this, system says automatic and start both enabled but still won't launch -(the "hour glass" flashes on screen for an instant then disappears) - tried "re-starting this service" option but still no go. Device appears to be working properly because I can downlaod manually - any other thoughts?
