    Hello,

    Current setup:
External hard drive is connected to my computer 24/7. I use SyncBack to backup my files onto the external hard drive once per day. My external hard drive can do eSATA and USB. I don't turn off the hard drive.

    Need to do:
I want the hard drive to spin down/ sleep/ not move whenever backup is not being performed. How do I achieve this?

    Thanks.

    Hi

Give this app a go http://xsleep.codeplex.com/ (its developmental but worked when I tested it)

Do let us know what Windows version you use?

XSleep looks interesting, I'll play around and see what happens.
    Thanks.
