    Hi All,
Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed, but I have tried searching and can see nothing recent.
On Tuesday night our desktop updated itself and come the morning we are now stuck in an automatic repair loop.
Blue screen few options - nothing works.
Googled, lots of articles about my issue, have tried the various "fixes" to no avail.
I am a novice but can follow instructions, if anyone can offer step by step tasks in order to fix this, I will follow.
I am about to go out now, but will check in later and hopefully some kind geek has the answer!
I can get into the BIOS page and one fix was to "create windows installation media" which instructed me to alter the Bios start up menu. which I did to 'usb something, so that may have to be undone?
    Cheers,
    Sharon

I really don't think there exists a straightforward step-by-step fix for your situation which explains the absence of replies. My recommendation would be to reinstall Win 10 from DVD, instructions HERE. If you are asked to supply your licence at any point just skip that as your licence will be be picked up by the activation servers and activated later. If you have any unbacked up files which you must keep then you will have to remove the drive first and mount it in a caddy so the files can be copied to another disk. You need access to another computer for that.

It's always rather sad to see a system lost when there is a simple discipline requiring about 15 minutes a month of your time that gives you the means to recover an unbootable system in about half an hour. Ask if you want more info.

Good for you! There are several free programs available for this task but for those completely new to imaging I usually recommend Aomei Backupper. Have a read HERE and try it out. You will need an external drive to hold the image file which will be roughly half the size of the used part of your OS partition/drive. You will probably have plenty of questions so just ask.

I have AOMEI Backupper but have not used it. All my data is on my D: drive and I back it up regularly by using 2 instances of Windows Explorer and dragging and dropping from D: to my external drive.
I also did a system backup right after updating to 1903. Thank you for your time and your help!
