autoplay woes (please help!)

k guys i need some serious help...
when i first installed xp (about 4 months ago) everything was fine untill a couple weeks after. whenever i put a cd into either of my cd drives ( 40x LG and a 24x Mashita) it would autoplay this cds, but when i took the cd out, the autoplay properties would be the same, and the name of the drive was the name of the cd i had just taken out. so i did a repair install and everything was just peachy (btw that was before sp2) so anyways coming back to the present, i fooled around with red hat, and installed LILO on the MBR so anyways i did a clean install of XP (pro) and it did the same funny cd autoplay thing again. i tired doing a repair install but its still doing it. Ive tried uninstalling the drivers and the reinstalling them, but no luck. I just installed Service Pack 2 last night, but its still not working!!!
please help!!!!!! its really annoying
