AutoPlay won't run after malware clean up?

My media drives won't autoplay.

Windows XP SP3 Home Edition.

When I insert a music or blank CD in the CDROM or CDRW drives, the autoplay won't work. Autoplay appears to be trying to load as I get a CD icon next to my cursor then it changes for a second to the hour glass icon, then back to the regular cursor but no autoplay of the media. Also no autoplay for any USB flashdrive, which use to open the windows file viewers via autoplay, but nothing now. For all media drives I can click MY Computer>the appropriate drive icon and then it will run and play fine. Also I use a color management, Spyder 2, that is loaded into the ATI graphics card at start up. I use to see a visible change of the color/brightness of the monitor right when a message said it was loaded successfully. I still get that message that Spyder 2 has been loaded successful but the monitor is not changing. It's like somehow this and autorun is being suppressed. Could I have done this during the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide steps? I ran through the entire Malware guide step by step just for good measure, I don't think I had a previous problem, at least my autoplay worked.

I have already tried enabling autoplay by going to My Computer>CD or Flash Drive icon (I have tried all)>Rightclick>Properties>AutoPlay>I have choose both prompt me each time to choose an action and also I've selected an action to perform, then>apply>OK.

What can I do?

Thanks for the link, I tried it but it didn't help, see no autoplay on cd drive or flash drives. Any other suggestions?

 

My mistake, the MS exe download did work. I wasn't using it correctly. I got the flashdrive and cd drives to autoplay, I still have to work on the color profile loader.
