Please check my logs from your malware removal process to see if it worked. Autorun.inf mirrored my PCs Recycle bin on the USB. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ! :clap

Your logs are clean. What malware issue were you having? One thing you need to do is this:

I strongly advise you to cleanup your Desktop. Remove everything but links to run programs. Do not download and save programs here and definitely do not use it for long term storage. You need to keep ComboFix.exe here for now as we need it, but we will be removing it when we are finished with your cleanup. A cluttered Desktop is malware's playground and it can also cause performance degradation especially when you start saving large files here like you are doing.

    1. USB with autorun.inf given out by college staff MAY HAVE been infected before before I used it - However, other staff given dozens of identical USBs did not have autorun.inf on them so far (fluke?).
    2. Desktop became so cluttered I minimized it to the task bar - and it has since become even more bloated.
    3. After I clean up my desktop - what should I do next??? :confused
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED HELP!

I really do not know what your issue is. We usually try to remove the autorun.inf from thumb drives as they sometimes have malware on the drives. Was the thumb drive attached when you ran the scans? What do you mean your desktop is bloated? Please be more specific if you can so I can try to determine if you are having a software issue or a malware issue.

Just see newfiles.txt and you will see what is meant
And since the All Users Desktop also has 26 items, that makes the total 139+26=165

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\ --> is comprised of only links, which is fine.

But the C:\Documents and Settings\gjohns\Desktop\ --> needs to be cleaned up!!
I strongly advise you to cleanup your Desktop. Remove everything but links to run programs. Do not download and save programs here and definitely do not use it for long term storage. You need to keep ComboFix.exe here for now as we need it, but we will be removing it when we are finished with your cleanup. Text and pdf's and other doc's need to be in their own folders, not on the desktop.

    1. No continuing problems (original prob was USB autorun.inf caused mirror of PC recycle bin on USB).
    2. Cleaned off files from Desktop as you suggested.
    3. Successfully deleted autorun.inf and recycle folder from USB.
    4. USBs are NOT being re-infected.
    5. I think RUN ME FIRST process worked. Only items on second pass of RUN ME FIRST scans were two Adware.180Solutions reg keys deleted by MBam.
    6. If it matters (I hope not!) I ran the scans in this order and had 1 prob with RootRepeal as noted (see attached logs):
    a) CCleaner
    b) ComboFix
    c) SuperAntiSpyware
    d) Malwarebytes
    e) RootRepeal - "COULD NOT CREATE FILE" of scan log (could save log as RootRep.txt but it has no details).
    f) MGTools

    7. Anything else I should do? I await your next command, Major!

Your logs are clean. I would only suggest that you remove any items that you have in your internet trusted zone:
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://bsulpc.110mb.com
    O15 - Trusted Zone: http://clpccd.blackboard.com

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures pointed to by step 6 of the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
