My autorun does not work. I think I'm missing the Run.dll file that makes it happen. I recently had some trouble with malware etc. blah blah blah, so I don't have an earlier restore point. How can I get the file back and back where it belongs?

Are you aware that Microsoft released an out of cycle patch on February 24, 2009 to turn off autorun? This was done to protect you from getting infected if you plug in a USB drive with malware on it.

I suggest that you keep it turned off and scan with security programs whatever you put into your computer.

Thanks to both of you. I think plodr may have hit on the problem.
