I want to run sound to the patio so that I can play downloaded music from my computer.
What is the best way to do that? At the present time I just have a regular set of desktop speakers. Going through my stereo receiver is not an option because it is too far away from my computer. It will be very easy to run wires from my PC to the patio (2 small surround sound speakers). Is there a way to use the headphone jack? I'm just looking for the most inexpensive and fastest way to do this.
    Thanks

Radio Shack has a variety of specialty cables. I don't have a headphone jack in my speakers, so I bought an audio Y-connector that allows me to plug both my speakers and headphones into my output on the back of my PC. You could get one of them and depending on what kind of end connections your speakers have, add an adapter to plug into the Y-connector, if needed for your speakers. Just go there and tell them what you need and they should be able to set you up.
