Avant Browser

    I've just downloaded Avant Browser.

    Can I now boot IE off my computer?

    Using XP.

    IE is an integral part of Windows and cannot be removed.Sorry, but you are stuck with it on your machine.
    Doesn't mean you have to use it though.

    Be sure to keep it up to date though. Because it is tied into the windows operating system, a security hole in IE will have an effect on your computer.

    Easy now. Remember, everybody else running Windows has to put up with it too.
    My own personal browser is Opera. I only use IE to get Windows Updates.
