AVAST - 2 questions regarding scheduled scans and getter protection after 1 year...

1. A family member is using AVAST free edition. With scheduled scans - if it missed a scheduled scan (e.g. it was set for 10pm on Sat but PC was turned off at 9pm on Sat) - would it run the next time the laptop is turned on?

2. It will get updates for 1 year. Do I need to re-register to get a 2nd year of free usage?

I know that you have to renew the license after one year. Each year you will be required to renew the license.

About the schedules scan, I am not 100% but I think it will not initiate a scan at boot if it misses the schedule but you can easily confirm that.
