Hi All! I couldn't find any useful information on this topic and finally remembered this website and all the helpful experts on here...

Anyway, my problem is that I just noticed today that avast! IS isn't starting up. Whenever I try to start it I get a message that reads: "This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator." Suspiciously, I also get that message when trying to start AdAware. So I uninstalled and reinstalled AdAware with no problem. When I tried to uninstall avast! I got an error message that read "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall avast! Internet Security. Contact sys admin."

I went through the cleaning procedure and am still having the same problem. I uninstalled AdAware again, so I only have one AV. I ran all the programs and I am attaching the logs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advanced!

PS I did notice that the HitmanPro log contained a suspicious file in my "External Files" folder on my Desktop. These are all my files from my old external drive that was connected to my old computer so any System Volume Information file that is infected doesn't apply to this computer (if that makes any sense...). So couldn't I just go ahead and deleted the suspicious file? Or hell, the whole folder.

Your logs are clean. I suggest you post in the software forum for additional assistance.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link
Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

Thanks for checking! I found it odd that I would be infected since I try to keep my computer well-protected. Now I'm thinking 3 year old must have changed something by accident...

    Thanks again,
    Ricardo

You are welcome. My recommendation is to uninstall one of them and then see if you still have problems.
