Hi, again. I have the Avast virus software, and it keeps complaining that most of my MAME emulator games have viruses. I seriously doubt these programs would contain PC viruses. How do I white-list the downloads from the games-containing site?

I added the URL to the exclusions list, and Avast still reports false-positives. :(

If you are sure the downloads are safe, disable Avast for a couple of minutes - right-click the Avast icon in the Notification Area and you'll see the option.
Also, put the folder where you save the downloads on the list of exclusions.

I got it to work. Thank you! Maybe I didn't click "Add"....

After a while, same problem. :(

Did you disable Avast for a couple of minutes?

I did not disable Avast. I simply added the site and its download folder to the white list. I guess I should disable Avast....

I found a useful option: CyberCapture: Allow me to decide. I'll try it now.

Ensure Avast is disabled for only a couple of minutes.
Better still, after downloading, enable Avast.

It didn't work. How do I disable Avast? I did not see the appropriate option. :(

Uhh...I'm still getting the same error. :( Maybe I have another antivirus program?

Exactly what error are you getting?

What are the results when you have VirusTotal scan the URL?

The error I'm getting is that the download was cancelled due to a virus. BTW, some files work; others work sometimes. :( VirusTotal reported one file clean.

Never mind: it seems to be working now. :)
