Avatar change shock..

Is it just me!! Be honest.. 'cause it's daft. Each time a well associated/avatar to a nick gets changed, I need a double take to make sure who's post I'm reading.:-D
For some strange reason, change in the avatar throws me for a spin for a bit:-D

For a recent example:
1) augie's new avatar
2) Phantom's, as well- since I never recall this being changed.

The regular changers -
1) Laura
2) Kes
3)Mimsy

I noticed Augie's, Phantom's and Kes's - it's a poppy flower. Usually given out in remberance of Veteran's Day.

 

All avatars should be locked down and never be changed for this very reason.

I expect my orders to be obeyed, or our resident member of the Gestapo tells me you vill all be shot.

 

Wait, what? I change my avatar every four or five months, and that's too often and makes it confusing...? :confused

Remembrance day is big thing here (Flanders) where so many fell in the first and second war, they have a lot of parades and services,

This year it is going to be a challenge as it's freezing cold and heavy rain so good warm waterproofs are needed, i feel for the bandsmen and women trying to keep their hands warm in such atrocious conditions.

As a vet i also remember how so many made the ultimate sacrifice that we could live free.

I understand Augie and Phantom as there are many Australians and Canadians buried here in Flanders.

I post on a board that is mostly all off topic and gets a little crazy at times. Once a admin I guess in a drunken moment changed everyones avatar to the same image, that was fun for a bit.

Open up the MySQL Database.

Run this:

SET `vb(or whatever the db prefix is)_user`.`avatar` = "file name";

Wait about an hour for all xxx,xxx users to save
