Avatar drama

I am wanting to use the cool animated pic Luthius put on the funny photo thread.
I have resized it to below 64 X 64 and am hosting it myself but I keep getting a URL error when I try to change it in my CP. It is well over the 7.8kb for uploaded avatars, (51kb) is this why I am getting the error? It has 17 frames, so maybe I need to reduce that a bit to get it down in size, but seeing as thought I was hosting it I thought it wouldn't matter.
The URL is correct, i copy and paste from my FTP.
Any ideas?

 

I do believe the size is the problem...don't think it matters where it's at.
You'll have to delete some frames to get it down to size...but will it look right then?
Only one way to find out....

Ah well never mind.

 

mullet, E-mail me the pic (I deleted it last format thinking I backed it up) and I`ll resize/compress it for you to avatar style..
