avatar problems

    im having problems getting my avatars to move on MG?
    on other sites they work just fine, but when i try to use them here, nothing!?!?!?!?:confused:
    anyone wanna lend some advice here
    (wasnt sure where to post this)?

    What are you doing? Do you have it on your desktop as a gif? Will it animate in windows fax and pic viewer ...if so to all ...it should work as your avatar.

    Tried removing it and uploading again? .....(yeah, idiot, I've done that twice and still no go ...gezzz....I got to find someone that has an IQ over 1 .....:mad: )

    Appears corrupted. Downloaded it and there are not multiple frames in the image, plus IE locally won't display it at all.

    i know, i tried the same thing and it only had one frame??????
    but i swear its working on other sites (not the one i copied form MG, the original)


    the frame count on my computer is 13
    the size on my computer is 100x100

    The image you posted is too large for an avatar here (64x64 pixels or 7.8K, whatever's smaller IIRC), so I assume you shrunk it to fit? Some graphics programs won't shrink an animated .gif and keep the animation (frames), they just shrink the primary image and save it as a still shot. That may be your problem.

    i thought the file just had to be a smaller size (kb)
    didnt put togeather that the pixel width mattered after that

    p.s.
    photoshop is great
    gotta get a cable to hook up to my old hard drive to move it over to my new computer

    if anyone is using gimp 2, can you fill me in if there is a way to change the size of all layers?
    im asuming there has 2....but i cant seem 2 get it right?:confused:
