    I really don't think that it would be driver issue. Because i have seen it on many forums that the Advent computers are facing this issue with cameras and the issue is that the Imaging Devices category in the Device manager is gone completely. I saw some solution for it for vista which said that there would some extra category in Universal Bus Category related to Samcam.. something like that which needs to be disabled and then uninstalled. Not sure about it. But you can give it a try.

    I would love to take the remote access of your computer. If you are OK with this idea then please log onto hnetworking.com and ask for Sahil (that's me) and tell them on the chat that i offered you remote support. If I would be available in the office then will try to help you out.

    This is something we do not advise anyone to use, as while you maybe very genuine, we or the user asking advice does not know you at all, and giving remote access is a security nightmare.

    So to Fredsat, that choice is yours.

    In Device Manager do you have any yellow ! marks and if so by what devices?

    Have you had the need to re-install Windows before your webcam didnt work and if so for what reason?

    and as Advent are one of the worst companies for driver support downloads, could you attach the below log.

    No Offense David, I happily take your point. And agree to it as well that as you all don't know me so can't trust me with the remote support. I never forced that on anyone. I was just giving an option to fredsat that we can also try that thing. Keeping everything aside lets come back to the topic. :)

    I again received a complaint on Advent M201 on my website (<snip>) regarding the webcam not working. Its been 7th in last couple of days now. The person was also using win7. I have also asked that person to mail us the report of the SIW. So that we can go through that and respond accordingly.

We do appreciate anyone who volunteers their time to help out here, so thank you for that and I hope you will continue, but we do prefer you keep things to the forum.
