    Hi,
When I am checking my email I keep getting a message that says 'Spybot reports that you want to download "Avenue A, Inc" this is a known threat do you want to block this download. I click yes but as I move thru my email it keeps popping up. I also did a file search on "avenue A, Inc" and found it exists in almost all my files. Has any one seen this before, my AV does not pick anything up
    Thanks Baz

I only see that when Spybot blocks popup ads when I'm using IE at work. I say it must be popup related as I never see it using Mozilla at home. Are you using some type of webmail? Spybot can be set to "silently block" such stuff so you don't have to bother with the dialog.

That's strange. I believe I have always seen Ad-aware or SpyBot clean this up. What do the popups say? Make sure you have updated Ad-aware today (it changed). Also if still having problems get HijaakThis from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html and then shut down all applications and run HijaakThis. Save the log and copy the info from the notepad popup back here to a message.

    Hi ,

No luck with those methods, I turned off system restore and scanned with everything, Avast came back clear but told me it was unable to scan some files as the zip archive is corrupted. How do I configure spy bot to block silently as now i am being asked by Spy bot if I want to block "double click" I select yes but on my next move I get asked again and again, arghhh. and yes that is my email company. Pardon my ignorance but im not sure about a proxy server, I don't know what one is.
    Thanks again
    Baz

Which zip archive did it tell you is corrupted?
You should try running an error-check on your hard disk. Just right click on the C: drive in Win Explorer and then select Properties, Tools, Error-Checking. If you have any errors, fix them.

If you fix any disk errors, try scanning again with Avast.

to make spybot block silently, run spybot and click on immunize and look at the bottom. it probably says 'Display dialog while blocking' or 'ask for blocking confirmation' just change that to 'Block bad pages silently' and that should solve ur problem..
