AVG Anti-virus

    I am getting a "Your AVG Trial version is going to end soon" message.

    Are they ending their free service? I'm pretty sure that I installed the free version this time, but I can't figure out why it's saying I'm going to lose it.

    Does anyone know if I can uninstall this version, then re-install again?

    Wrong? That's the polite way. His AVG is probably a previous versions, at major upgrades he needs to remove the old version and update to new. The sad thing is you link to the Avira website, which has a free version of their AV. Might look into it, rather then pass bad advice to the public.
