AVG antivirus install

    I'm trying to install AVG Antivirus Free version. I keep getting this message from the installation program:

    Local machine: installation failed
    Installation:
    Error: Action failed for file avgclean.sys: starting service....
    The system cannot find the file specified. (2)

    I'm running XP Service Pack 2. Restarting and trying the install again doesn't help. I've downloaded the file both from the AVG site and from Download.com with identical results.

    Any ideas?

    Do you have AVG AntiRookit installed?
