avg driver core problem

i am running xp pro and latest avg free edition.

message.

driver core not found winerr=2.

i have been on avg faq but the message does not appear any surgestions please.

I use AVG, never had that error. Maybe just re-install it.

thanks for help i will look into it now but if it dose not work as a second best solution i am going to try etrust ez armor anti virus which i got with my micro soft update cd it is free for 1 year it look ok but i can;t find many reviews on it though.

Above all it is reccomended to uninstall in safe mode, reboot and then reinstall the very latest AVG updated and current patched. Sometimes the engine gets skewed and loads wrong for the OS..If you updated your OS the AVG Engine could be broken for the new config in the OS.

Another factor could possibly be a worm or trojan.

I'm deliberately throwing a lot of stuff out because this event seems to be happening of late and could ALSO be tied in with AVG server problems as well as nefarious types trying to take advantage of that situation.

I hope that a simple uninstall in safe, a reboot, then the very latest reinstall proggy will do you.
