avg - e-trust antivirus

after downloading a torrent file yesterday...a patch avg caught the executable as a trojan, forgot the exact name...(on a friends computer)....then today, downloaded the very same file and e-trust didnt catch it at all....couldn't believe it...avg managed to heal the file before i used it...however e-trust didnt...and e-trust (ca.com) boasts about being the company that most fortune 500 companies use? you gotta be kidding me.

so, i kinda like avg here...score 1 for them....

 

You could always send the file too e-trust. So they can analyze it.

Its likely AVG gave a false positive. AVG, while being nice, likes to do that. I'd put my trust in Etrust. Har, Har. Get it? trust in...

*sigh*

If you think it a false positive you can load the file here: http://virusscan.jotti.org and if somethings comes up for avg then it isnt a false positive
