AVG free

I received a pop up today informing me that AVG free will no longer be available as of Jan. 15, 2007. Can anyone recommend another good free anti-virus program. Thanks in advance.

 

Thanks I found it. Should I uninstall the old version before installing 7.5?

 

To be safe, yes. Though, sometimes, it will upgrade fine.

When you install, you do not have to uninstall, you do a "Repair" install with the update to 7.5.

 

As stated, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But, perhaps, while you slept, TimW, the computer figured out what it needed to do, and it worked. Though, who really knows, since ye were AFK.


Typically, there should be no worries.
