AVG Install Error

I get this error when installing AVG 8 Free and am unsure what the problem is. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and still get the same error. Help?

Do you have another antivirus program installed? Do you have a legitimate, legal copy of Windows installed? What version of Windows do you have, XP or Vista or 2000? Have you tried running a good reg cleaner and drive cleaner after uninstalling AVG and before re-installing? CCleaner is good for these tasks; or use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall AVG. Revo will remove all leftover registry entries and and hard drive files. Also, take a look at the Event Viewer under System and Applications and post any errors that relate to the error you posted above (right click My Computer, select Manage, the Event Viewer option will be in the top of the left column). To get details on Event Viewer listings, right click the error and select Properties.
