avg un/installation problem pls take a look

Installer initialization failed due to following error:
Error: @AvgErrorCode_0x0253 %FILE% = "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8"

and

Local machine: installation failed

Error: Action failed for file avgwdsvc.exe: stopping service....
Error 0x8007006d
Rollback:
Error: Action failed for file avgemc.exe: starting service....
Service avg8emc failed to progress during startup at checpoint 0 (wait hint 10000 ms) in 90484 ms.

..anyone with the same prolem..?
..have not asked around avg forum.. ..but tried to look there..
..don't know avg version just that it is AVG 8.0, because cannot open interface..

..can't install new version which uninstalls old version..

..oh right.. ..tried uninstalling because an avg update rendered it useless to me.. ..had to use PC Tools instead.. .tried repairing and installing latest version but keeps crashing..
avgwdsvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
..anyway.. ..will update when anythings changed.. ..thanks again..

 

..its fine now.. ..uninstalled PC Tools..
