I run AVG free edition for my anti virus protection and am on auto update. Tonight I was on the computer when the program update initiated. It completed and was dated 9-1-2004 for some reason. When the update finished the Virus Database system status button became unchecked, suggesting it was an unfunctional system feature. I have tried several manual updates but the program responds by telling me that my system is up to date. When I close the program and reopen I get a message saying my virus database is out of date..but when I hit the download button for the update the program tells me I am up to date.....Is anyone else seeing this weirdness?

Yes, I see the same. Maybe the server time is already tomorrow, and this is how the program behaves when its reference file is technically "in the future". Or it maybe doesn't check the year, and thinks the ref file is 364 days old.

Thanks for the responses, TheDoug and Star17. I just wanted to make sure this odd behavior wasn't local to my machine.
