avg

my free trial of avg runs out in 4 days. do i uninstall it and download it again or do i look for another prog. not sure what to do any help is appreciated. thankyou.

as far as i know you can still use if after the trial. but some features will be limited...

The MOST IMPORTANT feature (real-time protection - aka resident shield) is disabled after trial of the free version of AVG AS expires.

You may want to consider an alternative! Otherwise, you will have to be consistent with your manual scans with AVG AS for it to be effective. You can no longer scan automatically, or even schedule scans!

There are two free AS programs I can think of with real-time protection:

Spyware Terminator

And

Windows Defender

I don't know if I would recommend MSWD. It doesn't seem that effective to me.
