I'm not aware of any firewall feature in AVG Anti-Virus. An email scanner, yes it does, with plugins for Outlook Express and TheBat!. A firewall, no.

Edit: Guess you figured out there's no firewall...

I think you got your wires crossed...the free AVG does come with the E-Mail scanner, and all the other options that come with most reputable AV programs!! AVG isn't a firewall!! However it is a good free anti-virus...been using it on my laptop for a couple of years!!

.........anyway...I think you might need to clarify a little more, and I might know exactly what it is you are trying to accomplish!!

hi guys, ya i had both running and corrected myself, hence the edit.
but for some reason, i have 4 users set up on the computer, and 3/4 are fine in terms of AVG but for some reason, the AVG square is greyed out in the notification area, when i check...it says the email client isnt setup...well i never set it up for any of the other 3 users...so why isn't it working for this particular one?...thanks......
