AVI file causing problems

Hy,

I just downloaded an AVI file and whenever I want to browse to it, my explorer freezes when I enter the map where the file is.
If I'm fast I CAN move it, so I moved nit to a new folder. When I try to open it using another file browser tool, I get an error to, not reponding....

When I open up winamp, or media player and open it when tho program is running, it freezes and again the not reponding message. I can rename the file.

what might be causing this?
I ran spyware and norton on my entire system and came up with nothing

just want this file to work, would be a wte of download space otherwise

Maybe the avi file is corrupted. Do other avi's work OK?

 

How large is the avi file? How much ram do you have?

 

other avi files work great

the size is 755 mb
I have 1gig of ram
